Anahera’s first book, Daren Kamali’s Tales, Poems and Songs from the Underwater World, RRP $24.99, can now be ordered through all NZ bookstores nationwide. Daren’s book is also in stock at Unity Books Auckland, The Women’s Bookshop, Parsons Bookshop, and UBS (University of Auckland) in Auckland City; and at Te Papa Store in Wellington. Anahera Launch Celebration

Anahera Press will be officially launched on Sunday 11th December, 2-5pm, in the old Jewish Memorial Hall space, 70 Karangahape Rd, Auckland Central (by the Rock Shop). Come and join us for a glass of wine, some food, and poetry from Anahera poets present and future: Daren Kamali, Doug Poole, Tracey Tawhiao & Ben Brown. With an art exhibition featuring the work of Munro Te Whata (illustrator, Tales, Poems and Songs from the Underwater World), and Tracey Tawhiao. Daren Kamali’s book will be available for sale and signing by the author. We are delighted that Anahera will be officially launched by renowned Maori poet Robert Sullivan. All welcome.

Anahera is delighted to announce that Daren Kamali’s new poetry collection, Tales, Poems and Songs from the Underwater World, is now available. The book is Daren’s first collection and is bilingual (English/Fijian) with graphic art and an 11-track CD. It’s a vibrant offering from an important voice in the Pasifika poetry scene. Today is the first day of operations for the new Anahera website. This is the ‘soft’ launch, rather than the official launch which will take place in late November. By then, we hope to iron out any issues with the website and also tidy things up! Thanks for coming to visit while we are in our beta stage!
