Today at Anahera we are delighted to have received two nominations in the Ngā Kupu Ora Aotearoa Māori Book Awards 2014. Ben Brown has received a nomination in the Fiction category for Between the Kindling and the Blaze, and Kiri Piahana-Wong is nominated in the same category for her debut collection Night Swimming. Warm congratulations to Daren Kamali, author of Tales, Poems and Songs from the Underwater World, who has been awarded the Fulbright-Creative New Zealand Pacific Writer’s Residency. Daren takes up the Fulbright-CNZ residency at the University of Hawaii in August 2012, and will use the opportunity to work on his second book, Squid Out of Water.
